Are You Using This Internet Marketing Secret?

by John Neyman

If you are trying to sell a product or service on the Internet, then you are probably doing so through an affiliate program. You signed up as an affiliate (usually for free) and they gave you an affiliate ID (user name or number). They may have even given you a basic marketing package which includes text ads, banner ads, and solo ads with a link to your affiliate sales page. All you have to do is use these tools to get traffic to your affiliate sales page.

Well that sounds pretty easy, doesn’t it? This process actually works too, except that your probability of converting your traffic into sales is very, very, very low. In other words, you may have to have thousands of people to visit your affiliate sales page before you ever see your first sell. Now those aren’t very good odds, are they?

Unfortunately, that is what most people do. They spend a lot of time, effort, and money getting all of those people to that affiliate sales page and then they finally make a sale and earn a referral fee or commission. But wait, it can get even worse. Let’s say that you made one sale and earned a $10 commission. That’s great, right? Well not really, because in the terms and conditions of your affiliate program, you don’t actually get paid until you have accumulated at least $20 of commissions. So get back to it and get another sale and finally get paid. Good grief!

Don’t quit! Internet marketing is a great way to make extra money, but you have to know some of the secrets. Here’s one. “Don’t advertise your affiliate program directly.” You must use a four step process.

Four Step Process

1. First, you must provide something of value. The easiest valuable thing that you can give away is information. An informative email course, special report, or ebook are all great ways to give away free information.

2. This step goes along with the initial step above. Don’t give away your free information until you get an email address. You must capture the name and email address of your prospective sale in order to be able to implement the next step.

3. If the information that you are providing is good and helps people, then you will earn some trust. If someone gives you some information that saves you time, money, or effort; then you are going to closely read anything that they send you – as long as the information is still valuable. This is why it is so important that you get that name and email address before you start giving away your information. Now you can keep the information flowing through an occasional email to your prospect.

4. Finally, if you have been providing valuable information and earning trust from people, it is much more likely that they will buy something that you recommend. This is especially true if you can convince them that what you are recommending will help them and that it is worth their money. The easiest way to do this is to recommend something that you have actually purchased and use yourself. Just tell them how it helped you and why you think that it was worth what you paid for it!

Finally – A Top Secret Way You Can Get Google AdWords FREE!

by Joi Matthews

Now, a Top-Secret Way for You to Get Google AdWords Pay per Clicks FREE!

Several years ago, a gentleman from New England discovered a so-called “oversight” that most marketers don’t tap into. He gets what would normally be “paid” advertising for free from Google and other search engines, too.

And no, nothing about his “secret” is illegal – nor does it require that you know someone on the “inside” at Google, Yahoo, MSN, Overture and others.

Instead, the New Yorker boasts proudly “…this is something that I caught onto just before 2000 when there was so much search engine craze running around, and started doing small just to test things at first … but which I later expanded on after getting the hang of it.”

This same fellow went on to start and operate sixteen separate online companies selling everything from pet food, DVDs, children’s toys

Over the past eight years or so, this fellow has admitted to getting over $87 million in advertising that he has never had to pay for, all because he discovered his secret. Most of this came from Google pay-per-clicks and other forms of paid advertising at various search engines. Again, all of this has been for free.

In fact, his secret is powerful enough that he can find any niche online, and eventually find a way to monopolize it. He always gets the top spots, premium space, above the usual listings of pages you get with most search engines.

His secret is so powerful that he can monopolize any niche online and can always get the top premium spots he wants in search engine listings, above the usual listing results with search engines.

He still has to set up accounts with each search engine, but he doesn’t have to pay for any other costs involved once he does that, because he gets his advertising for free.

This “secret’s” discoverer also let us know that in the nearly eight years since he discovered this secret, his sales revenues have topped $300 million and he has a very diverse line of products. Most recently, in the last two years, he has gained a net profit of nearly $166 million, once he really “buckled down” and took his secret to its limits.

Now to everyone else’s fortune, the city slicker is releasing his secret for getting an unlimited amount of pay-per-click ads to the general public. But he’s not promising any of us for how long.

One particularly famous Internet guru said that although this man may make more profits because he has decided to publish his secret, in fact, he’s already rich enough that it doesn’t really matter whether he continues or discontinues selling it. However, grabbing it for oneself is a different matter; this could indeed prove economically unwise if you don’t take advantage of it now.

This secret is presented in an easy-to-read format that anyone with a fourth grade reading level can understand and master.

And while you’re there, go ahead and scroll on down to see for yourself what others have to say about this secret and success are having with. And it’s now freely available to you, if you want to take advantage of it — for perhaps a limited time, so get it now.

Directing Desired Visitors to Your Website

by Ricardo d Argence

Traffic on your website is closely related to Internet marketing. You have many options for getting viewers to your website. All the techniques the Internet marketers will use at some point involve the search engines. Large numbers of people use search engines to find information about any topic you can imagine.

To have your website indexed high in a search engine ranking is to feel the traffic wash over you like money in the bank. SEM, search engine marketing, is at the very heart of generating quality traffic to your site. When you have the ability to have popular keywords input into the search engines, then come up high in the SERPs, search engine results pages, then you are doing something right.

Can you say that you have the fantastic promotional website on the entire Internet for pet providing? Your site URL is the address of your website. Before long, the Google spiders will come and crawl your entire pet supply website to index it.

You cannot expect to tell your friends that all they have to do is type “pet supplies” into the search box at Google and your site will show up on the first page. If you keyword “pet supplies” into the search engine, Google will show that there are over 68,000,000 returns. This is why SEM is so important. You need exposure so people can find you.

SEM will include SEO, which is search engine optimization, search engine submissions, search engine maps, local search methods, PPC (Pay-Per-Click) along with other search tools and keywords. The concept of PPC advertising is one of the most efficient ways to effectively market your site in modern search engines.

When you sign up with PPC advertising company, we will create a small advertisement using key words in your websites that target your market demographic. When someone does a search using a keyword in your advertisement, the search engine will show them your information.

Provided you utilized an adequate keyword, it will primarily appear on the initial page. When the user sees your ad on the search engine and they click it, they will wind up at your website. You pay the PPC company for each click when someone clicks on your ad. To generate traffic, this is a very sought after method.

SEO should always be used on your website. SEO is a standard the search engines use to index and rank your website. The better the SEO, the higher in rank your website will show up in search engine results. Optimizing your site has to do with using keywords sprinkled naturally throughout your text. Keeping your website relevant to what your site is about is also taken into consideration. Google loves people that use forward links to other relevant pages within the text too.

Keyword stuffing is something that anyone engaging in SEO should avoid. If your keywords are used out of context or over saturated, it will cost you in rank. A significant amount of information regarding SEO is available and it can be accessed at no cost via the Internet.

There are a few things to keep in mind when using search engine marketing. Almost every method for generating traffic is reliant in some way to the search engines. There are also many different pay services that you can outsource to companies that will take care of all the advertising through search engines for you.

Increase Website Traffic In 10 Minutes

by Jeffrey S. Gross

To grow your on-line business, it is essential that you get people to come to your Web site and look around. This concept is known as generating traffic.

Bringing internet traffic your way can pose as quite an intimidating challenge, as you are competing with millions and millions of other Web sites for attention. Moreover, new sites are being launched pretty much every day. Simply creating a nice site and getting it published won’t automatically attract customers. New and smaller sites are always vying for attention with mammoth, internationally known Web sites.

Why is that? Well, when people use one of the search engines (for example, Google, Ask.com or Alta Vista) to look for specific items or information on anything from shoes to business plans, they receive pages and pages of URLs that potentially include the information they seek.

This gives established mega-sites such as eBay, Amazon and Wikipedia a tremendous advantage over everyone else, as they contain these terms on multiple pages, are already well-known, and are visited by millions of people daily. Newcomers and smaller ventures with the same terms get buried deep in the search engine rankings.

Relying solely on search engine ranking isn’t the only way to generate traffic to your site, thank goodness. Experiment with different approaches for helping people to find your site. The following are three ways to accomplish that goal:

Engage in link exchanges with other non-competing Web sites: Your search engine ranking improves (you appear on an earlier page under specific search terms) when you have other sites link into yours. Adding their links to your site helps the other site owners, too. Find sites with information or products that go well with yours, and suggest exchanging links. Another way to get your URL on other sites is to initiate a blog on one of the blogging sites (two of which are blogger.com and blogspot.com), including a link to your site in each blog entry.

Writing articles for other sites: People are constantly looking for new material to add to their Web sites or include in their on-line newsletters, also called e-zines. Paying for content can get costly, but site owners and e-zine editors frequently carry articles they receive for free, in exchange for allowing the author to include his or her URL at the end of it. People who read your articles might want to learn more about you by clicking your link.

Use traditional advertising methods: Tried-and-true ways for getting word out about your Web site include placing television and radio ads, handing out business cards and fliers with your URL on them, or giving away items such as pens, water bottles or refrigerator magnets that include your Web address. These techniques are not for brick and mortar businesses alone.

Wholesale Website Traffic: This option is the best of them all. It requires the least work and it really gets your website real visitors fast. In a nutshell, you do not need to write anything, build links, or even lift a finger. If you choose the right company for the job, you will be seeing real visitors coming to see your website. You are leveraging their websites power to get your site popular, it is a win for you all the way. Please read on for our company recommendations.

In summary, use a variety of tactics to publicize your Web site and its URL. It makes sense that the more traffic you generate to your site, the more potential sales you will generate as well.

AdWords Keyword Tool: Is It Accurate?

by Ronny Talmor

A couple of weeks ago, the Internet marketing world had been hit by what seemed to be wonderful news: Google AdWords Keyword Tool started showing actual numbers instead of vague graphs for search volume.

I have received a lot of emails from newsletters I subscribe to, informing me of the great change. One of the senders was excited enough to conclude: “it probably spells the end for services like Wordtracker.” A famous guru could not hide his joy: “Holy cow! Talk about shaking up the planet!”

Jim Morris, a keyword research authority, posted the following on his nichbot.com blog: “All of a sudden – there is no longer any confusion about how many times people are searching for a certain keyword phrase on Google.com.”

Mr. Morris included in his post a screenshot of 8 results the Tool returned when he had asked for keyword suggestions for the term “blogging.” Here they are: blogging, blogs, blog, blogging software, radio blog, pink is the new blog, blog search, bad girls blog. Three columns follow the keywords list: Advertiser Competition, Approx Search Volume for last month, and Approx Average Search Volume.

Until July 2008, all three columns used to show a shaded bar, which was supposed to indicate the relative volumes, i.e. if the bar was completely green it supposedly indicated very high volume; half green equaled moderate volume etc. But now, the two search volume columns show actual numerical figures, while the first column, Advertiser Competition, still shows this shaded bar.

I went through the suggestions Jim Morris got for “blogging” and checked a couple of them. For instance, the Advertiser Competition bar next to “radio blog” is painted 3/4 green. Looks like quite a lot of bidders on this keyword, doesn’t it? One expects to find a lot of ads when “radio blog” is searched. Well, not necessarily. There is not even one ad for “radio blog” (at least there were none on 7/8/2008, when the blog was published and I conducted my search). Not in the U.S. nor in the UK or Canada.

The next keyword phrase I checked was “bad girls blog.” The mysterious bar is 50% green, representing more than light competition (Or does it? Nobody knows what it actually represents. The question is, why is it a secret? Why doesn’t Google tell its customers the exact volume of competition?) Anyway, in the case of “bad girls blog,” again, there is not even one ad in the English speaking countries.

If Google were just a search engine, that wouldn’t be a problem at all. But Google sells its AdWords services to hundreds of thousands of people, who have to rely on the data supplied to them by Google in order to set up smart and profitable campaigns. If these data are incorrect, chances are many thousands of advertisers spend a fortune in vain.

Online Marketing Factors

by Buck Stanfield

When you talk with a search engine marketing consultant, he or she will have certain recommendations about what you need to do to ensure your website shows up near the top of search engine results. Search engine marketing ensures that your website will have the ability to be near the top of search engine results. People who are searching for your particular topic will then be able to click through to your website, giving you prospective customers if you operate a business website.

If you talk with search engine marketing services companies to ensure you receive great traffic, much of the attention and questioning will revolve around how many incoming links you have, your content, and how your site is optimized around your main keywords. These factors help determine your ranking in search engines and whether you will show up in the top ten rankings or not. This article will explain six important factors in a brief period of time you should look for when doing search engine optimization marketing.

Search engine optimization marketing is first started with a competitive analysis. This is used to see which companies are in the top ten results for a particular keyword and why those companies are there.

The second factor to look into is keyword research to see which keywords are actually used by your prospective audience and how competitive these keywords are. Without proper keywords, your website is not visible to your niche audience searching for what you have to offer.

A search engine marketing consultant will also examine page optimization of your website. This is important because your website will have a set of different keywords and certain keywords are used for certain pages.

Search engine marketing services companies will focus upon site usability. This is important because you want your website to be very easy to get around so that your audience is able to find what they are looking for.

Off page optimization such as link building is the next area which will be focused on by search engine marketing services companies. Link building is important because this is a factor in search engine rankings.

You can also think about using paid search engine marketing such as Adwords. This is an option some search engine marketing consultants will recommend because you can get your website in front of your audience faster than organic search engine marketing optimization efforts.

Through this article, you can get an idea of what a search engine marketing consultant deems important. These are important points you should examine closely to make sure you included it with your website development. If you do not use these steps, you are putting yourself at peril of losing traffic you could have had to your website.

Search Engine Marketing Six Tips to Consider before Going Live

by Terry Stanfield

A search engine marketing consultant will help you develop a website which can show up very highly in search engine results. There are certain techniques which you must do if you want to ensure your website shows up. You want your website to be high in the search engine rankings so that people searching for your particular topic will be able to find your website.

The first important factor a search engine marketing services company will look into is a competitive analysis. This will help determine which companies are in the top ten rankings for certain keywords and why they are currently there.

The second factor often examined is keyword research. This is used to determine competition for keywords and how you can make sure you are receiving as much traffic for various keywords as you can.

A search engine marketing consultant will then look at your page optimization. Your pages need to be optimized for the various keywords so that your pages will show up in search engine results for different keywords depending upon the content of a particular page.

Search engine marketing services companies will then examine your site usability. It is important to have your website show up in search engines but you must also make sure that it is easy for your audience to get around your website and find what they are looking for.

Off page optimization is important and includes such activities such as link building. Search engines place great emphasis on this because you have to show the value of your website to other website owners who see enough value to link to your website.

One other factor you will want to look into is paid search engine marketing. This would include Adwords and you may want to think about this because you can put your website in front of your audience immediately.

Thinking through a search engine marketing consultant’s thought process, you can see why you need to implement these tips. Without using these tips, you are putting your site at jeopardy of not being able to found by your audience. It is important to put these steps into place before making your site live.

What is Social Marketing?

by Terry Stanfield

Social marketing is a new form of advertising that is just starting to become popular. Often social marketing is a favorite of small businesses because it is virtually free although in order to use it to drive traffic to a website the company still needs to use traditional search engine marketing and search engine optimization techniques. It is build around the idea of link strategies and using personal networking to drive website traffic.

Before the widespread use of social networking sites social marketing really wasn’t a viable option for most mainstream businesses but now the popularity of social networking sites like MySpace and Facebook has made social networking and social marketing very popular. Link strategies that are often used in social marketing involve creating free accounts on these popular social networking sites and then using search engine marketing techniques to increase traffic and network with others who interested in the same topics or with customers. Using search engine optimization to create search engine marketing content on your social networking profile pages can help get your profile listed in search engine results pages and you can use search engine marketing articles to help gain readers and friends across the net.

This type of marketing isn’t just limited to using sites like MySpace and Facebook. You can use search engine marketing and search engine optimization to socially market your blog as well. Many companies these days prefer having blogs to having traditional websites because blogs are much more accessible to people and make people feel like they have a personal connection with the company. Blogging is hugely popular.

Many popular blog sites are free so you can set up a free blog to be the front page of your web page and you can put links throughout the blog that lead to other pages on your web page so that your readers can find your other search engine marketing articles and information or buy your products. The best link strategies for blogs involve taking the time to form alliances with other bloggers. Blogging networks have huge followings and many times if you join a blog network or go to the blogs of people who share your interest or sell complementary products you can leave comments on that person’s blog that link back to your own site.

Even though that type of advertising can be a little time consuming it’s a great way to use search engine marketing to reach your target audience for free. Blogging communities also usually link to one another’s blogs which means that you can use your networking contacts to help you publicize your website. Social marketing can be tricky though because it’s more than just using search engine marketing, link strategies and SEO.

There are a lot of social networking etiquette rules that need to be observed and if you don’t follow protocol you could be ostracized. When you’re using social networking you should never just post links to your website on other people’s blogs, that’s considered spamming. Take the time to read other blogs and leave relevant comments. Usually then you will be allowed to post a link to your own website.

Doorway Pages Bad?

by Terry Stanfield

You’ve probably come across a doorway page before when you were surfing the Web. Doorway pages are similar to landing pages except doorway pages are practically empty. Doorway page are created specifically to utilize search engine optimization techniques and search engine marketing to get listed in the highest spot possible on search engine results page. Sometimes the person who stumbles onto a doorway page will need to click through the doorway page to get to the actual website that they were trying to get to and sometimes the page uses a Meta refresh, or an HTML code that instantly redirects the reader to another website.

Doorway pages often use a sneaky form of SEO strategies where the text on the page has nothing to do with the actual product that the company is selling but uses popular search terms in an effort to get a higher search engine results.

Doorway pages are essentially a form of the old bait and switch technique. For example if you were looking for a site on natural dog food and you did a Google search for natural dog food and you clicked on the first link at the top of the search engine results page because the description of that site that is listed under the link said that page was about the best kinds of natural dog food. Then after you clicked on that link you were taken to the web site of a nationally known pet food manufacturer who was trying to sell you their new line of natural dog food. That company is using a doorway page as a method of search engine marketing. By using search engine optimized text on the doorway page the company was able to get ranked very high by the search engine spider and was able to draw you in with a search engine marketing article but instantly sent you to their page hoping that you would buy their new dog food line.

Because a lot doorway pages are set up to act essentially as spam and to use any method available to get a particular website to the top of the search engine results page search engine spiders now are on the lookout for doorway page. The search engines will sometimes ban pages that use doorway pages from being indexed or showing up on the search engine results page. Doorway pages that have an instant Meta redirect or Meta refresh are usually not banned by the search engine spiders. Websites that use doorway pages will often use a redirect so that the webpage will still show up on a search engine’s search results page. Some website creators try to get around the ban by creating search engine optimized and content rich doorway pages but the search engine spiders are adapting are now learning how to spot doorway pages that are set up to try and attract web traffic using black hat SEO that has nothing to do with the actual content of the website.

Search engine marketing is a great tool and most play fair. For those who do not beware, the search engines engineers sit around all day figuring out how to stop the cheaters. If you stumble across some “top secret” strategy that someone is trying to sell you, be assured that the search engines already know about and have adjusted their algorithms to deal with it. Instead of wasting time and money, just do it right.
